Our farm has been known as Mariah Farms for over 40 years. It began, not as a self sustaining farm, but with our horses.
Tanya grew up with American Paint Horses, so thats what we'd always had. Early in 2001, we discovered the wonderful world of Gypsy and Drum Horses. After almost two years of research and decision making, 'DF Chalk Talk', the first Drum Horse stallion born in the United States, joined the family. The Drum Horses and Drafts have taken us on a journey that we enjoyed every minute of. We have exhibited and introduced the Drum Horse to folks all over the country and now even have a Breyer Horse in the family! Chalk's first son 'Mariah's Boon' of Moonlit Acre. We are no longer actively breeding and our farm has shifted focus, but we still love our breed and we are happy to talk to anyone about them.
The following pages are photos and stories about the rest of our farm family. Enjoy!
